My Glocks are officially paper weights....

I am happy peoples love their Glocks, i will try the new HK45 CT LEM, i order last week and compare it, nothing wrong in finding what you dont like... JP.

I recently sold my 9mm that I had for 25 years and looked at what is out there. My best friend let me try his Glock and went into the field stripping and I was surprised how few parts make it up.

While the sights were nice and the poly frame absorbed the recoil I just could not go with a none metal frame. :(

I found that the SIG 228 design with Hogue finger grips just felt more natural to me overall, added a short reset trigger and I just shoot this set up so well. Love the .40s but with 9mm being so much cheaper I will take trigger time over more stopping power as shot placement always trumps energy.

Nothing against Glocks there is a reason why so many Police Forces use them but just not my cup of tea I like my all metal platforms and the SIG ergos just feel better to me and I like the option of being able to change my grips that does not seem to be an option of the Glocks for the most part.

Seems that many agencies also use the SIGs so whether it is a Glock or a SIG both are excellent designs as with many others really comes down to what just feels right.

Everyone has their own preferences, me I drink from the Sig koolaid. If I had the budget Caramel has then I would probably have more expensive toys too.

Glocks out of box are fighting pistols you trust your life with not range queens . Comparing your Les Bear to a stock Glock is like comparing a AK47 to a match grade M1A. That said Glocks can be tuned to hang with any pistol on earth in competition. Paperweights ? really? f:P: .. Glocks are the AK of pistols , they both have some unique ergonomics and heavy triggers but when the #### goes down you want one by your side..

I can say I tried/owned/sold all the famous metal frame pistols in the last 2 years. I like all of them but I always go back to the polymers (I admit).
Fell in love with HK and I think they are superior to any metal frame design out there. Lately, I find myself shooting my Glock more, for some reason I feel excited every time I shoot it, I also discovered that I can shoot it faster than my P30, and I am in the process on selling my last P30 right now (owned more than 4).
All that, plus the simplicity in Glock design, parts availability, etc, won me over. I just installed a set of hackatorn sites on my first 17 and can't wait to shoot that thing tomorrow in IDPA.

Like said. Everyone is different. I'm opposite. I sold the 1911. The cz75 spo1 shadowline is used by the girlfriend now. I love glock

Sell them. Many of us end up upgrading to other guns we like better.

I bought a CZ75 and 97 without shooting them, liked the 75 but sold it, hated the 97 as I couldn't shoot it well. Sig 226/220 platform just fits and works better for me. Live and learn.

ahum...it's not meant to be cocky, but a zev connector-spring kit cost couple dollards only if your bone is the break weight and the over travel.

also i see you haven't swapped the crappy OEM sights which is the 1st mod glock afficionados does ; glocks are among the most accurate guns, a little love and $ has great effect on them.

most customizable pistols by far , you know how i pimped my standard guns, i have a crisp and reliable 2.1 lbs trigger on my limited 17,and 2.5lbs on my limited 35, on par with most SA's, while maybe not the 1.5lbs some SVI's gets.

i suspect you're more annoyed by the brick-with -a handle look of glocks than anything else JP.

I might bubba one just to try, we will talk... Cheers. JP.

No problems with that, i like the trial and error parcours... JP.

since i've discovered the pleasure brought by customizing my glocks, i admit that in stock form they seems annoying to me now .

i still like to challenge myself with the occasional session with my G22 and his stock OEM trigger group, but i can't help than having a lot of fun when peoples look and shoot my limited gun ; nothing comparable to a glock in stock trim , my 3 limited are much easier to shoot fast accurately ; they now weight a ton considering their weight in stock form ; i've added weight, and removed some in crucial areas ,and they now are as fast as any 1911's out there for a fraction of the price .

never been a Glock fan.. Simply not a fan of the striker fired plastic guns in general. I have a M&P 9 that I bought just to be certain about my feelings.. It is a novel gun, and accurate enough if you try hard, but I just am not into the trigger feel and weight distribution of a plastic gun.

I like the heft of an all steel 1911 :)

I guess if we had reasonable gun laws I could at least love the magazine capacity of the 'modern' guns.... sigh

This is good until you actually carry the pistol. Or until you want something reliable with enough capacity to defend yourself properly ;)

1911s are good range toys but Glocks are working tools. There isn't anything special about them but they are reliable and trust worthy under most conditions.

This coming from a former Glock hater.
