I took my 11 mo. Golden Retriever for a walk next to a large suburban retention pond, populated with ducks and geese. We sat down on the bank and she rolled around scratching her back. Within 5 minutes, over 20 geese from all over the pond had come to within 5 yards of us to check out the dog! There weren't agitated or angry, one was softly honking, and the others merely inspected her. They also followed us as we walked along the bank.
