32 Special : Showing the 30-30 How It's Done since 1901
I no Longer own any rifles in 30/30; So I do not have to worry about load confusion. In my opinion the 32 Special is just more friendly to Cast Boolits
I keep all 30-30 brass given me or I pick up at the range and just run it thru the sizer die. Up here in Canada 30-30 brass is much cheaper than the 32 special in new and once fired. I think there is a .001 or .002 difference in length but it hasn't affected my accuracy. I use the Cowboy dies for 32 special and tho pricey they work exceedingly well.
I think brass cost is more relevant to those of us who are putting hundreds and hundreds of rounds per year thru a particular rifle .
I know thousands of Cast Boolits have went out the barrel of my 94 over the years.
Enjoy your 32 Special Huntress; It is Special
I hunted with a 94 carbine, mid 1950's, and recently acquired a 1918 rifle, both in .32 WS. Seems to me I also have a real nice .32, mid 50's, somewhere in the pile.
