My GSG 1911 build

Got my sights from Fusion firearms today :) now its time to fit them....

after that im sending the GSG to Murdoc for black parkerizing or Arma-coat if the parkerizing dosent work...

Im just waiting on my flat Main spring housing to arrive from fusion...

Im sending my GSG to Murdoc ( www.arma-coat.ca ) tomorrow morning, Unfortunately I won't have any updates until the 15th of September...

I get to go on a free paid Vacation to Kuwait in 2 weeks thanks to DND...


I can't wait to come back and see the finish product...
 
Well just got word from Arma-Coat that my GSG is done...

Im glad to be back in the cold, And I dont miss Kuwait one bit...

I cant wait to post pictures of my new Toy... But this is one expensive GSG...

It looks killer... I had an Issue with the finish and sent back my GSG to Arma Coat..

But its all GTG now...
 
Just broke my GSG gide rod ...and the spring got all bent out of shape
Would really like to know where i can get the stainless steal one

Mine broke as well. The replacement Blue Line sent me was miles ahead of the one the gun came with. Email, Blue Line, they will help you get back shooting in record time.

the replacement guide rods are still too short and will eventually bend also ... i decided on the gsgpro because its longer and will prevent the binding which causes the eventual bending with a shorter guide rod. GSGpro sends them across no preblems ... took 2 weeks to arrive.

That explains why after 500 rounds, my guide rode is "nicked" at the tip. Time to swap for the SS guide rod I got from ARMCO. Does this problem demonstrate why I've had some FTF's with American Eagle ammo?
 
My Arma Coat is starting to chip away were the empty case hits the slide. But Its still holding up better then the factory finish.
