I thought I would give the Hatsan a try since the price was so good. The first thing I did was place some lock tight on the screws for the upper rails after reading threads about the screws coming loose here on gunnutz. After 3 boxes of bird shot and 5 slugs I was very happy with the gun. I picked up a light / laser for it and am overall happy with my Hatsan

The stock does have some play in it. I think the play is a result of the pin where the stock meets the pistol grip. The pin can be removed and the adjustable part of the butt removed.
So the trade off is that by having the option to convert to a pistol grip is some play in the stock. I do not think it is flimsy or that the play in the butt would have any adverse effects

It's easy to fix the play. Take the stock off at the pistol grip and at the butt end. I put I think 2 wraps of clear packing tape around the ends and put it back together. Solid as a rock now.

Good to know. Thanks,

I did that as well very easy fix. On mine there is also play between the slotted adjustment limb and the butt stock.
I'm sure that fit is a big more random as it looks like the two pieces are sanded and adjusted by hand to fit...mine is a bit looser then I'd prefer and I'm sure their are tighter ones out there.

It's not as solid as Benelli's I've handled that's for sure.

any trouble with it cycling light loads?

Mine did, I was really disappointed, then I found out I had put the oring in the wrong place. Put it where it belongs took it out and it ran #8 like it was made for it. Put 75 rounds through with my partner at work the other day and nary a hiccup.

That was the second place I put tape. I don't adjust the length really so it doesn't matter. You can still adjust though. Also solid.

Nice! I picked up a pump recently and love it! Never heard of the loose bolts issue tho so ill hafta keep an eye on em.
