Finally upgraded the internals of my marauder 10/22 which essentially concludes this project, here is a highlight of everything I did including getting a kidd trigger to work with the stock correctly.

-Replaced the standard skeleton stock with a 6 position adjustable stock with a 3 position adjustable check rest.
-Pinned the stock and installed a Dlask 12.5" stepped bull barrel with an XB5 flash-hider. The stocks button is removable so I just placed a fitted wooden dowel in the button to lock it.
-Replaced the front hand-guard with an Aluminium Quad rail variant and used a metal take down pin rather than a bolt for tool less removal.

-changed the flat head take down screw with hex socketed version and assembled an Allen key set that fits in the pistol grip compartment, so you can completely disassemble the gun with tools found in the grip.
- assembled a micro cleaning kit which includes a bore snake, brass brush, nylon brush, cleaning cloth and a small spray bottle with a CLP type cleaner. All of which fits into the compartment in front of the butt stock (must remove stock when pinned).

-Installed a black Kidd bolt and Black Kidd single stage trigger (Slight filing of the trigger housing and marauder bolt catch plate needed). The auto bolt release does not work correctly when you use the marauder bolt catch plate, until you file a small bump in the top pin hole.

And for laughs here is an old pic of it all bubba’d out with a 20” barrel.

That is a sweet, sweet 10/22! What kind of mag is that?

*edit: did a search, is it a Promag marauder magazine kit?

The stock is a airsoft version of the prototype IDZ Stock. Couple of reasons why I chose this rather then the m4 adapter version, it attaches directly to the hinge and is much more sturdy, the material is nearly identical to the promag polymer, and the only m4 compatible stock that fitted my needs was the magpul PRS stock which would be more expensive and to long of a LOP for me. A couple of nice surprises when I received the stock was its tightness, it has almost no wobble when fully extended and the button was completely removable which made pinning it easy and non-damaging. You have to look around a bit for it since it doesn't stay in stock for very long. It was very easy to install it was almost drop in. I'm just keeping the original stock for now.

Thanks to you I just had to spend the $100 on that stock. It appears to solve every issue I have with the nomad kit (and there arent many issues IMO). It was hard to find but I found an Airsoft place over seas that had them in stock. Did yours come with the new top rail with built in flip down sights? I wonder how thats going to work... it will be handy if its good as it will allow me to move my scope around alot more than I can now.

Got around to fitting a C length hand guard, It was surprisingly different to fit. A lot more of the bottom rear material has to be removed in order to fit, so much so that the "bottom post slots" where eventually filed off. at that point I simply filed at an angle and made sure the bottom most railed portion was completely flush with the rest of the stock, overall a very snug fit and much lighter.

As an afterthought, I also was able to find a way to create a sling point on those IDZ stocks, ran a bolt with a washer through one of the three holes at the rear of the stock and it threaded nicely on a CAR stock sling swivel. Sorry for the grainy photo.

...just when I thought I was done with my Marauder. That hand guard / barrel combo looks great!
