Finally got this thing built. Slides into receiver on truck and away you go. Legs all have multiple adjustment for height. Table itself has height adjustment and the seat has height adjustment as well as forward and back adjustment. More adjustment can be made by drilling more holes. You can basically make this thing sit how you want even on sloped ground.

The targets are 1/2" AR500 (thanks matt) that I painted and built stands for that mount on the shooting bench for transport. Let me know what you think. For a price I may be open to building them for people. PM me if interested.

Sorry for crappy cell phone pics.

Awesome job Logan, that is a must have !
Any idea how much the whole package weighs ?

The heaviest part is the 1/2" targets. The shooting bench itself easily weighs under 100 lbs I would say. Before the wood top was on it I could carry the bench around.

Looks cool so far but I think I'd radius the edges of the seat & table top. maybe invest in a bass boat seat or replacement seat for a lawn tractor from John Deere? Would be VERY comfy! I like the fact that you'd be up off the ground if it is wet or snowy.

Nice work. And like was said, source a universal seat for a boat or tractor from Can-Tire or Princess Auto.

Make it removable too... Got a total weight for the entire unit..?

I made it the way I wanted it but making it longer is easy to do. but I think I could get the tailgate down on this one, just pull the rear leg out and pull the seat, drop tailgate and put the seat back in. It would be tight though. I thought I would try the table the way it is I may round the corners off sometime. The seat I am planning to get it padded and covered so it is nice and soft. I didn't find a need for a back rest as I am pretty much constantly leaning forward on it shooting the rifle but any customization is easy to do! I used it for several hours today which was nice and I thought it worked pretty good. I may weld the table so it is solid rather than have vertical adjustment just so it is a little more stable then all the adjustment would be in the seat alone. we will see. I had no problems getting stable and hitting target consistently at 800 yards today. (another post). The only shaking I noticed when shooting was from my heartbeat haha.

Does this count as shooting from a vehicle?

haha I hope not. Cops have seen it on my truck and just drove by so there is one good sign.

PS. Unsure on total weight but those two ar500 targets alone weigh about the same as the shooting bench. I also figured out a way to keep the table adjustable and yet have no play in it. It will take maybe 20 minutes to add this "feature" to my shooting table.
