my home made brass tumbler

I don't have pictures, was 20 yrs ago
I made a tumbler out of a piece of I believe 8 or 10 in ABS pipe I got from town shop scrap pile, about 1 ft long , made ends on the wood lathe and just chucked it in the wood lathe
I could run speed from 250 to 3000rpm, usually slower, 500 or so .
Worked OK if I was not turning wood.
a vibrating one is easy, just a junk motor with a off center weight, I did buy one mainly because of the noise and for pistol loading, don't need large .

I was going to make a shaker one, I had the Princess Auto surplus motor, even had a bucket for awhile. I was going to use 1/4" rubber hose for legs. I never got around to it. Instead I came into an octagon rock tumbling barrel, and welded up a copy of the old Loritone rock tumblers . Ended up doing one load with stainless steel pins. Clean but not shiny.

You can buy new barrels if you want to do one yourself. There are a lot of DIY rock tumbler ideas out there.

I use a cut down treadmill . Put cases in water cooler jugs. Use the ones with the moulded in handles. Cut up a bunch of stainless steel mig welding wire.
