I've had my HP-9 for about 7 years now. Just getting back into shooting and want to change things up with my shotgun. Just going to use this thread to post pics and updates about my HP9. And ask questions.

First thing first, I'm replacing the crapy bead sight with a true glow bead site. I've already lost the factory bead and my replacement bead is all crooked. So when I install this True Glow sight, I want it to stay put.

Should I:

a. medium lock tight it

b. 5 min epoxy it on

c. JB weld it to the barrel

Opinions?

Also, my heat shield kept kicking off with the recoil so I took it off. Really like the "look" of it so I was thinking of a few drops of JB weld. Good or bad idea?

Well, just figured out that the site will be too low with the shield on, so I'm going to JB weld it straight to the heat shield. Will it hurt the tip of the barrel to not have anything in the beaded sight thread hole?

Truglow makes a number of different shotgun sights... did you get one that screws in the original screw hole? if so, locktite would be your best bet

And it's hard to say if it's a good or bad idea with that description. It depends how it's attached, and where you want to glue it.

edit: changed your mind before I could reply lol
