I've been slowly getting ready for my first hunting season. Earlier I picked up a nice 3030 Marlin and was still looking for a big game bolt action. I just couldn't go through with getting a synthetic savage, great rifle I hear but absolutely no class. I wanted something pretty, shiny with lots of history and character but my budget wouldn't allow for a new fn built model 70. Rather then settle, I decided to tap into the "previously enjoyed" market and came up with this beauty.

1990's Remington 700 BDL in 3006 with a beautiful high gloss stock and blueing. There are signs of normal wear but its in great shape and plenty of life still remaining. I made the right choice

Nice rifle, but I am with some of the others above. Left hand model 700 with the scope on wrong or a right hand with the picture inverted, you be the judge.
All in all, an older 700 in 30-06 something to be proud of.

Nice rifle, but do yourself a favor and lose the tacky slip on recoil pad! Buy a nice Pachmyr Decelerator (or similar), get your l.o.p. correctly measured, then fit that recoil pad to your stock. If you have never done that, seek out a COMPETENT friend or have a gunsmith do it.
Then you will truly have a beautiful rifle.
 
"previously enjoyed", cool, I'm still laughing! The first thing I did notice was the left hand bolt, cause I shoot left. But yeah, what's up with the right hand bolt pics? Which rifle is your's, OP?
 
I love a great picture puzzle as much as anyone but which one is yours! First pic looks to be as mentioned, a lefty - but yet, it looks to have the same sling and the terrain looks like it was taken in a different location. I also agree you've gotta dump that slip on pad - I can hear your rifle paining from here!
 
lmao Sorry for the confusion guys, you are an observant bunch. I mirror flipped the picture in photobucket before posting cause It came out up side down. It didn't even cross my mind that it wood make it a lefty. To clarify, its just one rifle, a right handed Remi. Also, the recoil pad is of my mosberg shotty. I took it with me cause I knew I was gonna fire a bunch of rounds. I know there are a lot of nice older rifles out there but they are not cheap. Some are even more then new ones, so when I found this one for $450 I knew she's the one. The pictures were taken in Mission, BC.
