My K98 RC

I refinished the stock with BLO, thats it. Its 1939 code 147 and a complete missmatch rifle but who care ? Its an rc after all

Aesthetically it's a nice rifle. The markings on the receiver are post war German, not Russian. It may be a capture/mismatch but what leads you to believe it was captured by the Russians?

Im not a k98 historian. The seller stated its a rc when he sold it to me.. Maybe only the stock is a rc who knows ?

Sorry I can't see it well enough from my phone. I'll have a better look tonight.

It does appear to have an X on the receiver, typical of a RC. Interesting that it has the post war proofs on it.

Could have gone to Germany first. Whk knows. They are everywhere in the last few years. Bluing in the new pics is definitely Russian.
