I used S&B Precision Rifle in .308, 175gr, hollow point boat tail.
I've never handled a 700, but I can say that I really like how the hog hunter handles and feels. It's not light, but it's quick in the hands and steady to aim.
The iron sights are pretty tall, meaning I had to use high scope rings. And I needed extended rings, as the scope tube on the Leupold is too short without them.
Got a Savage 110 Engage Hunter in 243 for my kids' range and deer gun. Its a froggin' laser. After I worked the bolt a bit it's now quite smooth. I'm super happy I went with the 110 and not the Axis II That I originally planned to get. It was on sale at Tenda for $540 just over a year ago.
