My kingdom for a few pounds of Varget!

Anyone out there know where some Varget can be had? I know this stuff is like gold right now.
Also looking for some Longshot as well. Can't find that either.

I bought a pound from Henry at Budget shooter supply a couple months ago and haven't seen any in the lower mainland since.

On the weekend I saw that Cabelas had a stock of it listed on their web site and placed an order for 4 lbs. They e-mailed me today and said that shipping would be about $143.00. What a joke.

I saw that too and figured I'd pick up a few lbs. Then I saw the custom shipping costs and said I'd sooner support Henry.

The downside is Henry's price seemed to have gone up =( I bought my last 8lb from him for ~210, now the equivlanet 1lb'rs are $288. I'd expect higher price for individual, but not a price jump like that =(

I paid$31.95 per pound.
I paid $210.00 for an 8 lb jug of XBR from the same place last month.

You can't expect to pay the same price for singles as you do for jugs.

I have 2 jugs of Varget on order. Who knows when or if they will arrive.

32$ is the going rate for 1lbs. 36$ is the premium rate.

Doesn't sound like much, but as mentioned 78$ on 8lbs adds up.

I still have about 3-4lbs left. I'll probably wait to get the 8lbs at the other inflated price ofr $245-265 locally rather than $288+shipping.

Am I glad that I stocked up at Christmas, as who knows when this madness will end??

Although I have gotten lucky as of late. Last weekend I needed some IMR 4198 for a new caliber and managed to find 1 solitary pound at my local cabela's!! Jackpot!!! Better then nothing I guess.

Varget always seems to be the first powder to get short on supply.

I switched to Vihtavuori. Consistent supply, not effected so much by the American panic buying sprees.
N140/ N150 are suitable replacements for Varget.
