That looks great. I'm in the middle of building a 22 LR on a similar theme. Before I really get started on this build, I have to figure out how to get a 22LR magazine through the bottom of a buggered 303 mag to be removable without having to remove the original mag. Not really that difficult, I have a few mags and their retainers to choose from.

Reason for doing it?? I have the parts needed on hand and it will prove interesting. May end up as a 22mag before I'm happy

Hmmm, it appears that if I want to use a magazine to feed this beast, I will have to alter the bolt and head to clear the magazine lips so it can strip a round from the magazine and still chamber it, without hanging up.

It's now going to be a single shot and may end up as a 22 Hornet. The bolt alteration is just to much effort at this moment.

The only repeating .22 British trainer, the No.7 uses a piece welded into the case of the .303 mag that locates and holds a modified mag from a .22 sporter. The .22 mag installs from the top.

I did one too. Used a 308 barrel, mag and extractor.
