I ordered this sometime near the beginning of the year from Wanstalls: a Les Baer IPSC Action model. Initially, I was told it might take up to a year to be made, so I'm happy that it took only half that. Of course, Canada Post picked a fine time to be late with their delivery. This was shipped on Monday and it was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday, but for whatever reason, wasn't delivered until this morning, Friday. So the past couple of days was spent imagining all the horrors that could have befallen my package. But in the end, it arrived safe and sound.

Upon opening it, however, I found that they made the gun incorrectly. I ordered it without the forward assist on the upper receiver, but it came WITH the FA. Not a really big deal, but not what I wanted. The other issue was my fault. I originally ordered the scope rings, but when I was looking at the photos on their website and looking at my existing ARs, it gradually dawned on me that the rings couldn't be positioned far forward enough to give sufficient eye relief. Luckily, Wanstall's had one remaining cantilever scope mount so I was good to go. The scope, by the way, is a Sightron S3 6-24x50 which I got from Mystic Precision.

Overall, just from handling and dry firing, it certainly seems to be a well-made gun, with very tight fit between upper and lower receivers. The Geissele trigger is amazing. It makes the standard ar15 trigger feel really awful now, and I might have to spring for something better on my other AR15s.

So, since this post would be worthless without pics. Here are a few. Sorry for the poor quality, I'm not much of a photographer.

Would have looked better without the forward assist. Yeah, a Vortex scope mount does look a bit out of place on such a rifle, but it's light and seems pretty solid.

The other two are both NEA: 14.5" with magpul ACS stock, and a 7.5" with CCS stock.
