Well I finally completed my weirdest build yet. I had to machine an adapter to make the G36 optic fit onto the AR's rail system. The adapter is made from 7075 aluminum (soon to be anodized). The optic sits a bit high, but its not too terrible. I think the Hensoldt is a pretty decent optic for one-way range use.
I test fired it a few times and noticed that the extractor is really chewing up brass. I used the bolt&carrier from my armalite 14.5" upper, but I've never seen the armalite chew up brass as bad as this build does. Any indeas to remedy this problem? Stonger buffer&spring maybe?
Specs are:
Armalite M15 lower and LPK
VLTOR VIS middy upper
Armalite bolt and bolt carrier
Dlask 14.5" barrel
VLTOR clamp on gas block
Command Arms buttstock
Heres what she look like:
