My latest build *Update Page 4*

Thanks for the comments guys! Yes this build isn't necessarily practical, but to me its something different and thats what I was trying to achieve. The optic isn't the best, it has poor eye relief and even worse field of view (its kinda like looking through a straw). I'm going to be putting it through hell this weekend to see how the mount holds up, and to see how the VIS performs. I'm really in need of a vert grip though, any suggestions?

I must say, I found the eye relief just fine. Sweet little rig. It doesn't look the best, I'll give it that, but it was certainly fun to shoot. Pictures will be up later today.

Just a quick update:

I played pretty rough with this gun on the weekend and I must say the optic held up pretty well. It flexed quite a bit, but never really lost zero. I was quite surprised that it didn't pull a thermold and crack :D. I'll have to try it again during the winter and see if still holds up.

I was kinda disappointed with the VIS though. The F/A-shell deflector started to come loose after a few bumps and bruises. Its definitely the weak point in the VIS design, but I thought VLTOR would have built it a bit stronger.

The CAA stock is kinda junk. Comfortable enough, but it started to become very loose, and wobbled around after some abuse.

Dlask barrels are surprisingly decent for accuracy. I was pulling off 5-shot MOA @100 with it.

Re tighten all the screws, bolts etc, fire a few rounds, check to see if its tight and re do a few times. Wont have this problem again.
