I've been wanting one of these for a while. An unshaved 1918 MK VI...... A big brother to my MK IV .22 Target Model.

Now the trick will be finding some ammo for it. Anybody know of any around? I know Calgary Shooting Centre has some but they are $18 a box higher than any of the other dealers that list it. (Might be why they have some in stock and other dealers I've found don't ;) )

Awesome. Very cool. They are a lot of fun to shoot. Last ammo I got was from Canam and it was Fiocchi for $1/round so CSC is in the ballpark from what I've seen.

I've been doing a little reading. It appears this one may have been Royal Navy issue ("N" stamps) which makes it a bit unusual. The RN adopted the Webley Scott automatic pistol in 1912 but apparently took delivery of some revolvers after 1916 when Webley couldn't keep up with the delivery schedule for the autos.
Anyway, I can't wait to get it. I love old guns with some history.

Shooter's Den in Sudbury supplied cases formed from .45Colt and cast bullets when I was making .455Webley for my MkVI. Lee still offers their die set for this calibre and if you don't want to go into reloading generally, their hand press will serve for the amount of ammunition you are likely to shoot with an old Webley. It's not very expensive and you can store it in a desk drawer.

I've just ordered 4 boxes of Fiocchi from Calgary Shooting Centre. I suspect this will be more of a keeper than a shooter so that may well turn out to be a multi year supply. If not i will at least have 200 brass to reload.;)

find a good source of the proper cast bullet. They shoot very well indeed if the bore is in good shape! I love mine. And if you can find fiocchi at a dollar a round buy it all! I've usually had to pay 1.50 or more. :(

If you have access to a lathe you can face of the inside of the rim of a 45 colt works great,

I did the same only with 45 Auto Rim brass. Worked fine and required a lot less trimming than 45 Colt because the AR brass is a lot shorter to start with. New 45 AR brass is still available from Starline.

I did mine with a drill press and a file, considerably cheaper and easier for the average Joe.
It ain't rocket science, eh.
Total outlay is like 200 $ and then you have a drill press, tubing cutter, file and micrometer
