I was shocked by how quiet it was, I don't wear any ear protection when I shoot it and I don't even notice it.

Are you using the CCI quite? I wasn't notice any different on report than my other 22lr rifle.
I took the iron off because the rear sight was sit too low and the front sight also bent to the right. I put the Hensoldt RSA red dot and sight in at 50 yard. It is very accurate little rifle.

Overall is fun little gun and very simple to use. My 8 years old son can handle it well. I would recommend this rifle to anyone who want to purchase the first rifle for their kids.

P.S. This rifle use half #### as safety like lever action rifle.

I dont wear plugs when I am using my Ruger. I dont find it any more louder than my Gamo ari rifle..

nope, was just using Blazers.
maybe im just so use to bigger guns and semi auto 22's i forgot what a break action gun sounds like.

only thing i didnt like about this gun was the plastic thread cap, i had a extra TS comp in my parts bin so i chucked it on, not sure if i like it on there but at least the threads are covered.

I shot one today,
Ran a bore snake and 4 rounds to sight in, then put 12 shots in 3 holes at 10 meters standing using Win 333 ammo, then the same using Stingers.
Very happy with this gun!

Now I know why you said it is quite. You have comp direct all the muzzle blast forward.
It is overkill.
