Almost perfect now ...with a short stock I can square up and still get the proper eye relief with the ACOG!

I am getting a bit weight sensitive during Christmas holidays since the gym is closed!

I got rid of the dedicated surefire light because it was broken pretty much right out of the box. - kudo to TSE for taking care of it. It is now set up for a surefire X300 with remote switch.

The collapsable stock is the single most useful thing I bought for the swiss arms. However, the length of pull is still longer than an AR with CTR.

I guess you are right about the LOP it never occurred to me but looking at the pictures the mount is about 1 1/2 - 2 " longer than needs to be then again Ascetics are more important than functionality, I have never been big on dedicated Handguard lights they look cool though. I use a 9v Xeon flash light on DD mount simple add effective .

The ACOG cannot be mounted any more rearwards because the rear sight will not allow the lever of the Larue mont to stay in a complete close position.

things are not done the way it is because they "look" good.

GT I what I meant is that when manufactures make there products the 1st proirity os functionality, 2nd Ascetics you can't sell something that looks like #### and hope people buy it,Other Manufactures first priority is Ascetics ,2nd functionality this is more prevelant with a lot of goods marketed for the AR.. Does the scopes position cause you eyerelief or cheekweld problems

Not to p**s in anyone's Wheaties, but I had the Carbine and found it just too front heavy, even without any 'add ons'.
I had hoped that I would like it as much, or even better than my CQB, but, nope, it just doesn't cut it up against a similarly equipped AR or my CQB.
I prefer the Carbine length technically over the CQB due to the full length gas system, etc., but when push came to shove, the Carbine lost.....Adios.....
PS...I also had the AR stock adapter on the CQB for awhile, but went back to the stock setup..as with all of these things, personal preference only.
The Carbine is still a sweet rig, and I still admire your good taste GT!:D

hey greentips . is that buttstock a factory swiss arms part or is it made by another company ? also how much shorter is it from the factory stock. i only ask because i have always really wanted one, but the i found the stock to be just a tad bit too long for me. and to me that looks a tad bit shorter. so i might be able to fit one now. and how much did it cost ya ?

greentips, I assume that's a 14 inch barrel. Do you mind telling us why you prefer the 14 inch as opposed to the CQB you had? I also plan to buy a Swiss Arms one day and I'm trying to decide between the 14 inch and the CQB. Thanks.
