I just bought a Leupold VariX III 1.5x5x20mm on the EE - thanks RGV!

It doesn't have any lens caps.

It will be mounted in Warne Maxima QD rings on my BRNO 602 .375 H&H 20" carbine.

It will will be used for bush camp wildlife defense as well as muley, moose and elk hunting in BC.

What do you guys recommend for covers? I have a pair of flip up covers on my B&L 3200 3x9. One of these broke after the 2nd time I put that rifle into my Kolpin gunboot!

I'm looking for some thing durable, reliable and transparent.

On another note, is this scope still covered by Leupolds lifetime guarantee?

Any suggestions or advice welcomed.

Best bet is probably some blizzard scope covers.....
Leupold warranty is for the life of the scope reagardless of how old or who owns it.

I have a Blizzard on the front of my Burris Scout, and frankly I would rather have the Butler Creek covers. The Burris has sort of half bell at the objective which makes fitting a cover a challenge.

One trick I've used from time to time is to cut the release lever off the Butler Creek ocular lens cover, turn the cover so it opens to the left, then when I work the action the bolt handle hits the tab and opens the cover.
