My new lightweight Fortner plinker made out of spare parts from my 1727F action going into the 1827F stock. 7.75 pounds with the scope. Using my 1827F Sprint action I saved 1.5+lbs off the 1727F HB 18"action. Wish I could score a light sprint barrel that was 14" Oal, That would be a handy off hand toy! Got the JP custom action screws so it's all together now! Just have to sight it in with the 2x8 Leupold as this is my lightest scope. This one is lighter than my 1712 with the 18" barrel! Going to be fun!:d

Very cool! I was wondering about picking up a more traditional stock for my 1827F. Did the barreled action just drop in or was some fitting required?

You need custom length action screws and will have to drill out the trigger guard metal every so slightly to allow for the thicker bolts. That's it, that's all. :)
