I'm sitting at home with the flu today and got bored so I decided to do a little low end photoshoot.
The pix suck but the phone is all I have here today. There she is in all her glory, I'd say its about 90% done.
Oh and the forward scope hardly qualifies it as a scout rifle, for those who are thinking allong those lines. According to the actual deffinition of a "scout rifle" the scope positioning is not so important as magnification. This is the heaviest rifle I own by far and although I have done some gunfigher drills with it quick acquisition and sustained hold on target are not ideal. Part of the reason its a bit difficult to use in the scout role is the rail and scope. even without bipod its still a bit front heavy. Anyhow enough of the scout rant.
The only thing I really want to change is the scope. I think I'm gonna go with a Leupold 2-7 on a basset mount, I find the scope is very quick in the low power setting which in conjunction with taking the weight off the front of the rifle should make it quicker to use. the only thing I'm not sure about is; if I like moving away from the ultimak rail.
Anyhow more pics:
Thanks to BigRed for the ergo pistol grip! It works perfectly.
Parts so far:
-Ultimak Rail (very nice product)
-Turf built stock (very good guy to deal with!)
-Dlask brake (another great product)
-CPGear 3 point sling (a must)
-Marstar front sight
-Laz tuned trigger
-Bushnell LER scope (its OK but I think I'm done with forward mounted magnification)
Anyhow hope you like what you see.
