i just have standard norinco parts in it atm.and my mount is promag see thru and the scope in a tasco pronghorn 3x9 going to get a better.

How are those redfields?
minus the target turrets are they much the same as their bigger leupold brother?

I think its a good scope at a really good price ,I am new to the Redfields .
Tactical111 recommended that brand to me and I am glad I took his advice.
Maybe he can chime in here.
I can only compare it to my Burris fullfied 3x9 and my Bushnell elite 3200 and it is a better scope .

Great scope I have the 3x9 by 40 love it on my 305. If you are talking about the fixed 10x mil dot 3200 I have one on my 10FP I would not recommend for the 305 that scope is for long range and would in my opinion would not be a good match for your 305 if you were going to use it to hunt with. I would even say that the Redfield is a little brighter in low light then the Bushnell, also it is lighter

i checked them out at my local gun store..

and i love the eye relief .. 4.9"-3.7" .. perfection..

i'll never understand why soooo many manufacturers have their optics running a 2.5-3" eye relief.. its too close

I put the 4-12x Redfield next to a 4-14x Leup Mk4 that was also in the shop.. honestly the redfield was on par with the Leup as far as clarity and brightness ... also a cool $1400 cheaper
missing a few vital features for LR work, but for hunting or plinking .. i like

Redfield fan as you know. Have the 4-12x with Accu-range reticle. I swear it was made for this rifle and my 300 yrd range ;)
Very clear glass, very bright, good for low light and fog, well priced and apparently manufactured on the same assembly line as Leupold.

Can more than take the pounding from the mighty M1A.

ARMS 18 and Millet rings keep her planted.
Very happy with the package. No hesitation on recommendation :D
