my M1A and para stock

got a picture for you to look at, and maybe 2 0r 3 , if I can figure out how to post more than one. The stock was mfg'd in the early 60's at Canadian Small Arms, outside of Toronto, Canada. The same with the folding wooden stock.
The M1A is serial #0087xx, made in 1976 or 1978, i keep forgetting the exact date. I mounted a Bushnell 3200 Mil-Dot 10x on it last week and it shot about 1.2" MOA at 100 yards.Will be shooting it at 800 yards next month.

The M14E2 stock pictured was manufactured for the M14 Squad Automatic Role to improve controllablity a large portion of the contract was awarded to Canadian Small arms

yes, the barrel and sights are National Match and its shoots just as well with the iron sights as with the scope, at least at 100 yards. As i mentioned, I will get a chance to shoot out to 800 yards this summer at the Winona range.
Surprisingly, i was getting very tight groups shooting IVI ball ammo last week.

Canadian Small Arms built a large majority of the lightwiehgt NM barrels I believe that the stampings are on the barrel under neath the hand guard or arround there. SA purchased the remaining govt surplus when they were starting in Texas .You might find that the E2 Bipod might affect your accuracy at longer distances as it often interferes with barrel harmonics. Anyways keep us up to date on the range reports and good shooting
