My M305 build

That's why I put a scope on my M305. I took the flash hider off because my whole front sight was tilted to left. I found out that the tabs on the inside of the flash hider that ride in the grooves of the barrel are all off center. So no matter what, my front sight will always be canted to the left until I can replace the flash hider altogether. They one downside to buying inexpensive firearms.

FINALLY went to the range today to get it sighted in.

This be the result @ 100 yards

Ahem...to all those who say Norcs cant shoot.
Very good shooting indeed for almost out of the box Norc.
You have to tell us what ammo, and get into the 1.5 MOA Challenge, looks like you could be right up there.

And nice build too by the way.

That's a good group ! I'm building mine right now and I hope it shoots this good . I'm using the same scope mount and m14.ca guide rod

I'd love to do that 1.5 MOA challenge but i still need a ton of practice. This was like my last 10 shots of the day, after 70 rounds. I was slowly geting more and more into a good position and working on my breathing, a skill i seem to have lost since i was in the cadets and my very short stay in the Reserves.

My rifle is a bit of a unicorn at the range i go to. Not many poeple have seen one of em. THere was a younger guy who just bought an SKS and we traded like 5 rounds downrage.

I want an sks now lol!

Rifle: 2012 receiver .308 M305 (Chinese M1A )

Mount: M14.ca's CASM mount

Scope: Vortex Diamonback 3-9x40

Rings: Leupold Medium PRW

I had taken the my firearm to my armorer friend but after seeing him at work, i could have some it myself! It was so easy to look at him go but i also brought my dad along because they are friends and all.

I can't wait to take it out to the range.

Now i need a cheek riser bad :p
Google bradleycheekrest.com He will fix U up. I ordered one from him about 112.00 US. Great guy to deal with. Rest is strapped on in back of the stock and three straps over the bottom. Great looking product.

Being of a cheap nature, it was killing me practising with the Norc. But you have to put in the range time to polish your style, and hopefully eliminate operator error.
I got around this by getting a cheap little 22lr. For every round out of the Norc there must be 20 out of the 22. My technique has improved beyond belief. ( The last time I shot regularly was in the 90's, and things get rusty )
Now my little 22 goes with me everytime, and I put 50 to 100 thru it, to get into the groove before moving on to the Norc, and the transition is flawless and the results show.
100 rounds of 22 is about the same cost, to me, as 7 handloaded 308.
Technique is the same on every platform .

And how did you ever avoid owning a SKS..LOL

My m305 shorty shoot very accurate out of the box.
100 yard open iron sight with Norinco copper wash ammo.

Cheese :p

Nice! Is that an "Isreali" Norinco? I saw one at The Shooting Edge in Calgary last week that looked exactly like that one. Came right out of the packing box with a walnut stock & not covered in packing goop! The salesman told me it was an Isreali model. Thinking about buying it if it's still there but I think they wanted @ $700 for it

Damn that is ###y wood.

@ romurra: He simply helped me mount the scope mount and scope. The rest of the rifle is STOCK.

@ Lost...again: I don't know how i avoided but i won't be for long! I'm getting a shotgun for geese hunting but if that falls apart, im going SKS.

It is a Norc's with Italian walnut stock. Not "Israel" Norc's.
It is beautiful and shoot well. My $ was well spent.

The stock has been refinished.
