Rifle: 2012 receiver .308 M305 (Chinese M1A )

Mount: M14.ca's CASM mount

Scope: Vortex Diamonback 3-9x40

Rings: Leupold Medium PRW

I had taken the my firearm to my armorer friend but after seeing him at work, i could have some it myself! It was so easy to look at him go but i also brought my dad along because they are friends and all.

I can't wait to take it out to the range.

Now i need a cheek riser bad :p

@ Deemoney & Dsiwy: No modifications done to the stock so far as i may replace it with an M14E2 stock

@ Exodus31337: All on paper at 125 yards using iron sights when i last shot it. I'm getting a range membership to one that's a lot closer at the end of the month. I'll report then.

I'm not used to using a telescope as i've shot using ironsights all my life. During my very short time in the army, the Elcan wasn't much of a scope to begin with. But i did ok.

M14's beat the crap outta scopes. So if be expecting to toss that one out fairly soon.

Vortex, Leupold, Burris, Redfield and others are known to provide good reliability on the meanest rifles.
Plus, Vortex offers lifetime on their products so 1legged can have some peace of mind ;)

i have a diamondback 1.75-5x32 on my m305 ran 300 rounds so far no problems its been on my slug gun last deer season 12gauge rifled 3inch winchester sabot slugs

I would suggest getting an aftermarket Recoil Spring Guide Rod. It'll help with accuracy. Next thing I would suggest is a TacPro cheek riser from SFRC. It'll give you a perfect cheek height. And I have that same scope, came off a Savage 110 HS Precision .338 Lapua Mag that I received in a trade. It still works flawlessly. So if it can handle a .338 Lapua, I'm pretty sure you're okay with the M305.

My M305 iron sights SUCK, lol.
I had to set the elevation to 500 yards just to get on paper at 100.
And my front sight is way the heck off to one side, but it hits to the opposite side.

Still fun to fire though, but I need to do some work come spring.

My m305 shorty shoot very accurate out of the box.
100 yard open iron sight with Norinco copper wash ammo.

Cheese :p

Nice.
My groups are not bad - it's just that they on the guy next to me's target!

I think it's all down the front sight, once I get that straightened out. I have one of the rifles with the "over-indexed" barrel.
Not really sure what the fix is.
