So I thought I’d post in the general forum, so everyone can feel free to post opinions.

My build consists of,
Christensen arms, carbon fiber wrapped 1-8 twist barrel
BAD ridgeline 15 inch hand guard
Brownells BCG
CTR stock
Geissele HSNM trigger ( not compatible)
My only Gucci parts are trigger and barrel, because I like to shoot small groups

First and foremost, the U/L set is very nice.
But what I don’t like is that, you have to do trial and error, to see what works.

Anyway , next up , once I get a diff trigger, will be accuracy testing.
Which should have nothing to do with the set, but all to do with the barrel and shooter.

The cantilever mount is positioned so that you could get away with normal rings, the whole point of the cantilever mounts is to have the scope mounted forward, above the hand guard. Adding weight to use a cantilever mount over lighter rings on a build that your weighing for light weight - but then placing the mount as such you could get away with rings is just... silly and pointless. So many people do this and its like, tactical operator overload, aka go back to the drawing board.

Hey, not sure of your point, but I’m 3/4 into a bottle of whiskey, so , who knows.

Anyway , the scope and mount is on for pics only, it really needs to be more forward, towards the muzzle.. lol
Also, I chose that mount, for it’s weight..3 ounces.

That Aero mount is very lightweight, like just over 3 oz. Compared to normal rings at what?

Awesome! Any difficulties with assembly other than compatibility?

It went together easy.
I did have one issue though, it was a PITA to change out the Bolt catch release.
The standard catch release went on easy enough , but when I had to take out that roll pin, it wasn’t pretty.

Nice build, not sure why guys are nit-picking already. You used a light weight barrel so I guess every part has to be carbon fiber or skeletonized.
I was going to reply to the you put it together wrong with a "it's prob just slapped on quick for a pic" but I'm too slow. Lol.

Looking forward to the range report.
I can't wait to get my hands on a receiver set from them. I have all my parts but was paranoid and waited for the FRT then was too late for batch #1, then bought a 22-250 with the money I had put aside.

Ya,I wasn’t really going for the light weight build.
Just wanted a CFW barrel, cause I like to do a lot of load development and shoot a lot of targets
Keeping it around 8 lbs with optic ,works for me.
I was gonna do some shooting this week, but the trigger isn’t cooperating.

I just buy good barrels because it makes more sense to me to pay $400-$500 for a good barrel than $200-$300 for a pos, then I know it will shoot well and I won't be frustrated when I can't develop a load that works well. I ordered the spiral fluted barrel because the description led me to believe it would be very accurate and it gives me a little chubby looking at it, the weight was the last thing on my mind.
My Modern Hunter is 11 pounds with optic but the CFW barrel helps keep the weight close to the shooter so it doesn't feel like a heavy rifle when you shoulder it.

I don't mind a little weight on a rifle as long as it isn't all out at the muzzle, it's more about weight distribution than the overall weight for me. I still like my m14 tanks, they're heavy but it's in the body not the muzzle so it feels manageable. The weight just makes them shoot smoother.

Also ordered a reciever set (pics to come), with the idea of doing a lightweight build. Initially i wanted a proof barrel, but the costs are quite hefty, and when compared to a pencil barrel of equal length there really isnt much weight savings. I went with a maple ridge 18.6 pencil, and agree its always worth spending a little more on the business end. Breaking with tradition however i’m installing a piston kit (superlative), and with the smaller journal (0.625) it weighs no more than a standard gas block, is adjustable, and should keep everything inside clean.

Pics and reports to come when the upper arrives in the mail. Happy to have jumped on the band wagon early, these things will be a big hit, as it seems the are already. Atrs delivers supurb products.

Hopefully it’ll be here for late next week.
I’m gonna wait for a bit and see what other triggers are compatible, before I decide

I think a medium profile barrel would be about the same weight as my CFW.

I like the ALG ACT, I've got a couple of them.
For a rifle like this I don't think a person needs any better, and they're very affordable.
