I have had my PAL for 2 weeks and I have purchased 3 handguns and 3 rifles. I heard that the first step to curing the addiction is admitting you have a problem. :50cal:

For me, the first step in curing my addiction is feeding it until I can think clearly enough to realize that my addiction is constructive. Thus, I no longer WANT to 'cure' my addiction, and my problems are solved.

Sounds like you're well underway! Welcome to the wonderful world of sport shooting!

Well done! As long as you don't start mortgaging your house/apartment for guns and ammo... and even then, if they're REALLY nice, it's probably ok. :D

I called my wife for permission to purchase a S&W 686 yesterday. The only thing that upset her was that I didn't bring it home right away for her to "fondle".

Obviously you don't YET have a problem.

You have a problem when you become a "closet" gunaholic. Symptoms include

  • paying cash,
  • have multiple cabinets so confuse people how many "items" you actually have, and of course,
  • picking up the mail before your wife sees that letter with the green paper showing through the envelope window,

Well done, Sir!

I bought 3 handguns last year and one rifle so far this year. I've had me RPAL for 8 months, so I figure I'm pacing myself. 9mm is next, then shotgun, AR and then a decent .308 or something for larger game and long distance.

My wife already thinks I have a safe full of guns she doesn't know about. I don't. Yet.

you have a problem when you're eating kraft dinner on a daily basis to support your "habit-"- i think i've got around 15 or so now- along with 5 presses and their related equipment- i like to have a press dedicated to each caliber

I kinda have reached the "max household firearm count". Well, those she knows about

Getting package on her school (evening university) days and EMT on my "private" account saved me. She wasnt too happy about me getting firearms in the house, but she did sign the papers..
