My 1st black rifle and my 1st AR build!!

NEA "Z" lower from SFRC ...without the Z serial number, and came with the bolt catch already installed
DPMS LPK ...bought from the EE
Commercial tube ...bought from the EE
Magpul CTR ...donated from my Mossberg 715t
5/30 P-Mags ...bought from the EE

Went together very smoothly with assistance from a YouTube video.
Now just need a 7.5 or 10.5 upper to finish it off!

I'm only guessing here, so i may be wrong. But the reason it came with the bolt catch already installed may be because they seem to have issues, at times, with drilling the hole oversized. So they may have installed it (and flared the roll pin?) so that you didn't have to deal with a roll pin that falls out.

Buffer weight..?? Hahahaha

I used the same buffer on my Noveske 18" SPR to my Noveske 10.5".

He won't have to change buffers.

If we had 30 round mags....and select fire. Buffer weight comes in to play.

Norinco 10.5 upper located and fit with zero issues.
Range day Thursday!

Picked up the Norinco upper after posting a wtb on the ee.
Magpul MOE carbine hand guards were installed today!
...next up is a red dot to replace the Eotech clone and I think I'm good with the build.

The 10.5" norinco upper on an NEA lower was a time-honoured budget AR solution that ruled the "twenty-teens."

Sadly, this once prolific species became endangered as we entered the current decade, and is now bordering on extinction.

Between the Feds, NEA's rebranding as BCL, and the drop in Norc guns out of China, I doubt we'll see their population recover anytime soon.

My NEA-Norcenstien was just over $600 when I put it together in 2014. Sans optic of course...

Still miss that gun. Don't miss that sling though.

I still remember us talking about the hack job you had to do the SL handguard to get it to fit due to the non standard delta ring and front cap.
