Just picked this up a few days ago. Well, I picked up what there was of it! It was missing the butt stock (replacement coming, thanks to CGNer gunna has) and the top rear hand guard (still looking for one). At least I was fortunate enough to get the stock bolt, complete with washers. From what I can see, it was manufactured/converted in 1932 at RSAF Enfield. It shoots well enough, though a bit awkward without a butt stock. The bore is minty, shiny bright, with very sharp rifling. Overall nice shape for an 82 year old after I tidied it up a bit.

Here it is with the "new" butt stock, handguard, and a set of aperture sights. The rear is a vintage PH5A in perfect working order that I was lucky enough to find locally. Since taking the photos, I've swapped out the single-hole aperture for an AGP six-hole. The front sight is a Lyman 17A that I filed down to fit the width and (forward-tilting) angle of the dovetail in the original LE front sight mount. The height of the 17A allows for use of the PH5A down to 25 yds without having to remove the original rear sight.

So far, I have less than that in it, including the aperture sights, but I think that $800 is about the going rate for them with original open sights.
