Threw my SS 16x MQ on it

Then found a 20 min rail for it

Need to take a pic of it with the rail and the scope...

Shoot it at 100 yards, with some cheap PPU 168gr ammo

The trigger SUCKS, the bullet hole in the right was ME

Here is the trigger pull weight

8 pounds 3/4oz.

Remington should be embarrassed to sell a rifle with that trigger pull weight. Great shooting especially taking that trigger into consideration, I hope it has a lot of adjustability.

I saw this picture and immediately thought, "How many minutes later did the RCMP storm his house." Then I saw you was American.

Once you get that trigger worked on or replaced that should be a great shooter. Nice rail.

Same thought scratched my mind also.

Remi's are good guns, but that t
Rigger weight is horrible, I've just installed rifle basix 2 for Savage and it's soooooo nice

hahaha ... i just posted about remingtons accuracy out of the box on this forum a couple of days ago. I was attacked with pitch forks and torches lol. Great shooting ... enjoy ! that gun is only going to get better.

Went out and did some shooting at 200 yards, cross wind of 20-30 mph. shot 42, 42.5, 43, 43.5 gr of Varget pushing a 168gr sierra matchking.

This was the best one 43.5 gr I would like to think the flyer was me... on inch with out it.

its a start i guess....

Why? There's nothing at all to be ashamed of with that group (!)

Did you call that shot bad, or did it look good to you when you broke it? If you didn't call it bad, then consider it a good shot unless and until proven otherwise.

What you have here, all things considered, is a group that is about an inch and a half high (so about 3/4 MOA of vertical spread), and about two inches wide (so about 1 MOA horizontal spread). It was fired in strong wind conditions (I can't tell from your description whether it was steady and strong, or strong and variable).

You have five shots (not three), in a 1 MOA group at 200y, fired under windy conditions. Arguably the group's elevation is a better indicator of the rifle's accuracy in these sort of conditions, so it would probably be fair to say that you have a 3/4 MOA group here, without deleting "flyers".

How were the elevation spreads on your other loads?

The other loads didn't look so good....

no more of the same bullets at the store today so...

I just loaded 50 168gr A-max with 43gr varget. 15 thousands off the lands. well see how they shoot this weekend.

Looks alot longer then Remington 150gr elcheapo ammo
