Yep they are marked as .50 beowulf. We will take some photos and we will be taking order soon. I personally think the polymer one will be better than GI version.

Why can't I take a RRA pistol lower register it in 50 Beowulf and put one of these uppers on it and bring in some ten round magazines?

Nothing's stopping you, although they might nix it under the "commonly available" aspect. They might also argue that the 50 Beowulf isn't a pistol-length barrel.

- the ten round limit specified in the Cartridge Magazine Control Regulations applies to magazines for this firearm provided: a) the magazine is originally designed for use in a semi-automatic handgun, and b) the handgun is commonly available in Canada.
- a purpose built ten shot capacity magazine is available in 223 REM/5.56MM NATO Calibre, which is identified to the "Rock River Arms Model LAR-15 PISTOL".

It would have to be commonly available to the general market for purchase and the mags would have to be purpose built and marked for the newly designed and commonly available pistol.

I think we should just let sleeping dogs lie...

I fully agree. Just educating the above poster as to why these couldn't be imported as "pistol mags" without having first a commercially available .50 Beowulf pistol and an entire production line setup to making the purpose built pistol mags.

There is a youtube vid where someone is reviewing the polymer mags, they are clearly stamped .50 Beo at the top. That alone makes them even better since you can swap the base plates out for magpul and not have to pucker up at the thought of loosing the only markings :D

There's also "AA" stamped on the side. I think the base plates are proprietary though, no?

The polymer mag is better, it is similar to P-Mag, where P-Mags labelled "5.56X45" on the body, the beo-wulf polymer mag label at a similar location as ".50Beowulf". However, The PMag base pad doesn't fit the beowulf polymer mag (I tried)

We have couple hundred on order. Once we have the ETA, we will open up for pre-order. We don't want people to contact us every week to check for status.

Would it be possible to hold on to a pistol in .50 Beo? I bet it kicks like hell.
