:DWell I read all the horror stories on here, after I had bought mine. I had read good things on RFC so I bought it. Then checked on here and my heart sank. Well I took it to the range today after a good scrubbing and adjusting the guide rail screws, and the thing worked like a dream!!!! I had 1 FTE out of 500 rounds I think thats pretty damn good. It loves to cycle cheap Blazers too. And wow is it accurate!! I need to try some high dollar ammo and just see how accurate it can be but with 30 rounds of blazer:ar15: I can shoot the bullseye out of my targets! Oh This gun is so fun!!!
 
Loosen the setscrews at the back of the reciever. They retain the guide rods. Tighten them in again until they just get snug, but no more.

Polishing the guide rods and the contact points on the bolt and hammer also goes a long way toward accurizing the 597.

Back them out so the keeper screws are flush with the back of the recever, If you are worryed about the screws moving :rolleyes: put a little nailpolish on the threads
