got my new 780 from SFRC after cleaning and inspecting it I shoot about 20 rounds no problems. nice little gun for the price.
just kinda funny in the instruction manual it shows the safety to be on top of the receiver like a mossberg 500 not like the cross bolt safety that at is

I have one of these shotguns as well...just becareful of the Magazine tube as mine broke completely off while i was cycling it because it wasn't brazed properly but i had it re brazed and i also filed the pump rails a bit (which is why they are so cheap) the action works incredibly good now and cycles like a charm. here is a pic.

I'm interested to hear how these 780's are doing after a few hundred (or thousand) rounds. Has anybody put a decent round count through one?

I am a long way from that number but they seem to be a great little gun...i had some problems i had fixed for $40.00 (magazine tube broke off) and i filed the pump rails because i noticed some burrs making the pump cycling rough but with a little care and filing these shotguns in my opinion are good as any other...the only down side i hear is parts from a 870 will not fit the 780's but i can t see any reason why they shouldn't last with proper care.
