My New Antique COLT SAA (pics)

Well its Ser # is in the 135 thousand so i guess the 1890s.
This gun is set up just perfect to 4 clicks to the hammer a nice light trigger pull.
I wanted a short barreled gun as i have a 7.5 inch beauty but like the shorter barrel for fast draw.
the Stag grips are thick over sized but i like that as i have big hands and the reg grips are a tad small.
If you look at this picture you will see the Stag grips match pertty good.
Took some hunting to find theses grips.

for a SAA for ages and have never seen anything like this. You must get Cris Angel to hunt for you as I can't find one. Thats a beauty.

Antique = no permit required ?
Thats right 44 Russian or 44 Special will also chamber.
I cant say about the case hardened finish i know they used to be able to be sent back to Colt to be case hardened.
this one looks orignal.
My guess is the rest is refinished tho.
The Ser #s are very sharp.
To the other questions in the thread, Yes the guns Antique! No Licence or Registration required.
I shoot Factory Winchester Cowboy 44 SP ammo thru it at 725 FPS with a 245 Gr bullet. Very nice ammo to shoot and very accurate.
It handles Keiths 2400 44 SP loads to no problem.
I wont list thos Again tho LOL

Ya this would tune up a Black bear no troble with my Keith loads.I have no clue about what the finish is coulda been redone like christy does or it could be orignal. dont know dont care BECAUSE its not gona be up for sale.
Theres alot of theses BP frames were sent back to be case hardened.
That could be the case here i really dont know.
The Back strap and Trigger gard look orignal blued tho as the Ser # is still sharp and matches on frame Trigger gard and back strap.
This one below is good for another 100 Years.
is a Pro Reblue.
I left the cylinder polished steel for now.
Its a tack driver. is a Antique as well in the 133 thosand ser # range
