Well boys and girls, I thought I might treat you all to my latest purchase. Its an.......OMFG...its an airgun. :runaway: Not just any airgun but a PCP or pre-charged Pneumatic for the great unwashed and its charged up to 3000psi with a scuba tank or a hand pump for those of you who are hoping for an early heart attack in life. Some may say "but that's not a firearm"

-but it shoots 1250fps
-and it chambers a 30grain .22 pellet:eek: which I dare say would do considerable damage at the opposing end of that muzzle:eek::eek:.
-As a matter of fact, at full power, hearing protection is an absolute must:eek: as it is easily the same, if not louder than a .22 rimfire.:runaway::runaway:
-One more point - it also has to be registered:(

Well it just arrived on Thursday. I ordered it from Airgunsource.com. This was the first time I had dealt with these people. I must say that I was impressed with the service and how they went out of their way to accommodate the customer. Their prices were also quite competitive as well. I will do more business with them for sure.

She's a .22 cal with two 380cc air tanks and a full length barrel. The carbine seamed a little to stubby for my liking so I decided to go full length. I was a little hesitant at first as most of my PCP guns are carbines and at 43" long, this was really pushing it. It was the same size as my M1 Garand FGS. In the end, it actually turned out to be just right and more importantly, because of the length, the gun balances extremely well. You are able to hold steady on target with very little effort. It fits me so well its almost like I don't have to do anything but release the trigger. As to the trigger, it is adjustable and I lightened it up a bit as I prefer a lighter trigger as apposed to a hunting trigger. Most of my shooting is done at the range shooting targets. Speaking of targets, I can only attest to accuracy at 10yds at the moment since I haven't been to the range yet, but she does one hole at ten yards without blinking an eye. Most impressive. As to power, this thing is a beast and I really mean A BEAST. I can't turn the power up to 100% at home firstly because my backstop couldn't take that much energy. It goes through 2x4's like butter. Secondly, its so loud I would have a SWAT team down hear in minutes with the report this thing generates. As for the basement, I turn the power down to about 50% and wail away all day long. Its easy to go through ammo with this gun. Two mags at 6 rounds a piece combined with a smooth lever action means you shoot A LOT MORE than with a single shot. But who's counting. :sniper:

One issue I had was with the open sights or should I say peep sights. They sit so low that at first I couldn't figure out how they could be used as you can't get your eye down that low. The stock actually gets in the way. My initial reaction was that they are completely useless:(. This didn't make sense as the Koreans have been building this style of airgun for decades. You would think they would have perfected the design of their product by now or they just didn't give a sh*t. And I don't think that's the case as the rest of the gun is very well designed. Well as it turns out the sights work extremely well... but ONLY if you know what your doing  . Your cheek weld needs to be placed at the very rear notch at the back of the stock. This may seem a little strange but once you try this hold, it feels quite natural and voila... working peep sights. :dancingbanana:

All in all, I really like this gun. It has totally impressed me. You see I was a little biased going into this purchase as I thought this gun was rather ugly. I was just looking for something a little different for my collection and this rifle did have character. But it was still ugly. However, once I had it in my hands and shot it a bit, and stroked it a bit, and polished it a bit, and held it a bit... things changed. Its no longer ugly and I think it going to be my most favorite gun for along time time to come (except, of course, for my AR15's);). :ar15:

Hope you liked the pics. :)

Shin Sung, the competitor of my PCP rifle (Eun Jin) makes a .50cal and a 9mm. I imagine they hit pretty hard. They are also very pricey like +$750. My Sumatra came in at $540. Thats actually the cheapest I've ever paid for a PCP gun and I have 5 of them.

BTW, thanks to the mod who moved this thread. I had no idea where an airgun, even if its classed as a firearm, would fit in on this board.
