After being bit by the Tactical Rimfire bug I decided to have a go at building one. I researched long and hard about the pros and cons of most kits out there and I decided that the Archangel kit was right for me. I have to thank Mysticplayer for hooking me up with the kits I ordered. I honestly thought that the parts and accessories would take longer to find than getting the kits themselves. I also need to thank Handgunner for the purchase of his 16.5" 10-22 action and barrel. Thanks again for taking the chance.
Fabsports is where I got all my add ons and optics. Not to mention flawless customer service and rediculously fast delivery.

I had in mind that I was originally going to build one. But after my son showed way more interest than before when he saw what I was putting together, I figured I am never going to get to play with it. So I built two. I will likely keep one original and not paint it if ever I want to sell it off. The other will see many many colour schemes throughout its ownership with me.

First impressions. I like the fit and finish. It is a solid build. I didn't waste any time installing washers out of the gate to get rid of that droopy looking forend. Everything lines up great. The only aesthetic issue I have is the 32 round Pro-Mag magazine. It looks a bit too curved and too long for this kit. Oh well. I'm sure the extra 7 rounds will make up for that.

Range report to follow......till then...............

Nice! My "tacticool" 10/22 build (Nordic kit) has a Jim King barrel with authentic M4 hardware (handguard and ring, A2 flash hider) and sight. It's basically a factory Ruger barrel that's been heavily modified...but I like how he even made it into a stepped barrel. :)

The best part about it? Co-witness the red dot with BUIS! :D

Nice job on the build! These kits sure are a change from the factory 10/22. I was surprised at how stable everything is with just having a fore grip installed. I'm also jealous that you got two!

Great looking twins Barks, I really like the looks of the 16 inch one... Ordered a kit of my own from Mysticplayer... although I must say I not a big fan of the front sight mount I think I am going avoid putting it on and just order a muzzel break from Rimfire Sports to mount on the muzzle till I can track down a threaded barrel to replace the factory barrel.

too plastic looking, hate it...

Nothing paint can't fix.

I had them out today and ripped through about 700 rounds. Man these are fun. Semi autos in general are fun......but this just takes it to the next level.

I came across a few issues. Someone posted on another thread they had POI shifting when they changed their retical patterns. I had this happen as well. I was shooting at 25 yards on retical 1 and then went through all 4. 5 shot groups for each and as seen in the photo, there was a bit of shifting. I only plan to shoot with one retical for the most part. So for the price I paid, I can't complain too much.

So far the short barrelled version is a bit more accurate. But the Painted one has the better optics, both in clarity and fun factor....laser sight:D

The laser dot is good for about 20 yards or so and then I couldn't see it today. Way too bright outside. Fun for fast, in-close target aquisitions. Shotgun hulls got some great air time. No jams with the pro mag magazine it worked flawless right from the get go. Very happy with that.

Do you mean the slip over barrel front sight mount. Yes I agree. I don't care for the look of it either. It dousn't line up with the top rail on mine. I have plans for a fake can anyway. I have a forum member here that is willing to thread these factory barrels for me.

Granted I plan on using optics for the most part, I got Mysticplayers deluxe Demo kit that came with the front sights. When mounted flush on the top rails, I can't get them zeroed. Just wanted to try. The rear sight has windage adjustments, but I can't see where to adjust elevation. The front sight has a pin holding the front post in place that retracts down, but again, I don't know how to adjust......anyone have experience??

Barks, I am glad you are having fun with these kits. Nice paint job.

The sights are adjusted like an AR sight, the front pin should move up and down for elevation. The rear side to side for windage. Since you now have my kit, I can't look at the sights to confirm :)

Not sure how they ever expected the sights to work on that barrel attachment. They should work as pictured though - handguard and action mounting.

Evilgrin, glad you are enjoying your kit too.

Those promag 32rd mags do run nice...

Enjoy guys.

I better not let my wife see these pictures. She might want one about as bad as I do. That would mean two builds at the same time. It's bad enough she got bit by the M305 bug, this would just make life rediculously hard!
