Thought I would make a late addition to the Archangel fun...

Update:

Promag Archangel Basic ARS Kit from Mysticplayer
Promag 50 RD drum also from Mystic
Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope w/ Weaver Xtra High rings
UTG foregrip from Questar
UTG bipod from Frontier
Scope Riser from Fabsports (the scope still sits too low even with the extra high rings)
Custom Charging Handle from Fabsports
M3X Weapon Light (for tacticool effect only, bought it for my shotgun)
Shorter barrel with threaded muzzle which I bought on EE

Still need:

Muzzle Brake

Overall length with the short barrel on it is 26.5" overall, I am going to pin the stock so that it will be about 27.5" overall.

I was going to put up a video from the range trip today but mother nature is not being co operative and decided to rain again today. Hopefully next week I can get out in the sunshine, by then all the rest of the parts should be here.

(Yes I know it is shameless to post where I bought the bits and pieces from but they all gave damn great service!)

Looks good! I actually really appreciate you telling where you bought everything as i'm building something similar.
Is that the 18.5" barrel on right now?

Yes it is the 18.5" on it right now... the barrel I bought is a good deal shorter, will be posting up dated pics when it comes in and I have it on.

Do the archangels accept different types of hand guards?

Also, what is the archangel made out of?

The material the Archangels are made from is a heavy polymer plastic. Very rigid.

And no, these kits are not that custamizable. They will not accept AR hand guards, or buttstocks or grips. What you see is what you get.

Does the archangel accept the bull barrels??

Yes it does accept bull barrels, the handguard allows the barrel to "freefloat". My initial idea for my project was to go with a 18" bull barrel but Canada Post screwed that up on me by losing the package somewhere between Fabsports and me so I went with the shorter barrel option although I might build another when the money becomes available.

This thing needs a heavy barrel... Ideally something either tensioned or carbon fiber. It does look somewhat plastic however, I'd perfer the Nordic, 556 or Krinker kits over this.

I agree it does look somewhat plastic but it is a good excuse to hit it with a custom paint job (one of my winter projects I have planned), plus keep in mind that the Nordic & 556 can be rather pricey to put together and the Krinker kits are almost impossible to find and command a higher price when they do pop up.

That is true, this kit is less than half the cost of the others. I sunk over $1k into my Krinker, but what can I say - I really like it. I've heard they're no longer being imported by Target, which is a shame.
All in all, I'd have to say the Archangel is a decent kit for the money.

hmmm... That is too bad, was thinking of trying a A2 buttstock on my Archangel just to give it a different look from all the rest. If I can find one cheap enough I might still give it a try just for the heck of it...

bought 2 - 4" rails of ebay from some hongkong dude for like 6 bucks + free shipping, they fit pretty good, all i did was use bigger bolts and washers to fit the openings in the rails on the archangel.

cellphone pictures sorry.

HEY!! You stole my idea!:D

But seriousy how did you attach them marcons? do they have a retaining bracket on the backside or did you have to drill holes on the handguard?
