Actually it will be Christmas gift for my father. My Grandfather had one when I was young. We all loved that little Nylon 66. My father always talked about owning one but it wasn't to be. When my grandfathered died his Nylon 66 was willed to my uncle and my father recieved different guns.

I found this one that was in A1 shape and identical to the one my grandfather owned. It was made in 1973 the same year I was born.

I am UBER happy:D

I am sure my father will melt when he see's it

**UPDATED 12/04/09**

Went to the range today, just to make sure it was functioning properly before I wrap it up.:D

I shot this group at 25yds with it. I know it is only 25yds but I thought this was pretty good. If any one has ever seen one of these then you know the sights are far from target sights. Tried several types of ammo. Winchester High Velocity was the winner by far out of six different types. All of the ammo that shot well was copper plated. None of the lead nosed shot well. Some groups over 2.5 inches

Very nice, and it shoots extremely well also I'd say. I have one from new, and it was the first rifle I ever owned. The stock and/or receiver is warped somehow and scopes mounted in the grooves don't have enough adjustment to compensate, but it is still the one gun I'll never sell.

Great Xmas gift alright. Fantastic even. :)

I have 2 of the nylon 66 's one clip fed and the other feeds from the stock.
They are very good shooters and I plan to give them to my sons as a gift.
I think your father will be tickled, when he receives the gun from you.
