WOOHOO!!!!

I just got the first pieces of my next LR build today. I started easy in the precision game and customized a Rem 5R Milspec in .308 for myself last year, this year i sold off a couple of my lesser used hunting rifles to build a new multi-purpose rifle for long range precision and to be my every day hunting rig for deer, moose and elk. I think it will be seeing a heck of a lot more in range time than many of my others as the stock I received today feels so nice in the hand.

I now have my McMillan A3 Sporter stock in McMillan Camo, sniper fill, pillar bedded with 2 flush cups underneath and a bipod stud up front and my VBull bottom metal. (I had to have something Canadian made in my build.)

I will be waiting a little while longer still for my Stiller Tac300 action and Kreiger 5R .284/7mm #5 Bull Sporter contour barrel to arrive in Canada and then be put together. Once here those two components will be prepped, chambered in 7mm Rem Mag and assembled by our very own JuanValdez. I still have to get a trigger (probably a timney) and scope rail(wanna get a steel one made for it, instead of the aluminum one you can get from Stiller) and I need to pick up the Zeiss Victory FL Diavari 4-16x50 Rapid Z 800 scope thats been calling my name. This is gonna be fun.

Here is a pick of the stock, Im guessing since its new to this model year, it's probably one of the first if not the first in our great nation.

Nothing like getting new parts to play with. It looks like this will be around 10lbs when done. What barrel profile did you order? 7mm is an great round. The 7 wsm would be a good option too.

keep us posted as the build progresses.

Kreiger #5 bull sporter contour. It will have a bit of weight to it, good thing I'm still young and able bodied. I would consider 7wsm, but I have spec'd everything out for a 7mm Rem Mag. I already have brass, powder, bullets and dies from my last one.

Ya sorry, I see the contour above.
It's hard to beat the 7mm rem mag. Do you have a brand of bullet in mind?
My Sendero loves the A-Max and Berger VLDs

Hornady 162 sst for hunting and 162 amax for paper. had great luck with them out of my Rem Sendero. Ordered a 1 in 9" twist barrel to utilize that weight range of bullet.

Looks like you have all the right componants for a rockstar build!!

From experiance, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stiller alloy rail. Ive been shooting one on my Tac-30 for about 5 years now.

If you reload you should take a look at matrix balistics I just changed over to there bullets for 7mm and they are amazing. It looks like you will have a real nice setup there.

Thanks for the suggestion, I may look at the matrix bullets, but there availability is slim around here. Where do you guys buy them. I also have a leftover stock of amax that I will be able to use all year.
