My new Chinese SKS

So also my meal and iphone :p

Nice rifle, ..... if they were sold in Belgium :jerkit:

What kind of meal are you eating that was made in China? Some knock off Roman noodles? With all the pollution over there you should stick with Canadian food just saying. It's better for you and better quality.

Someone will eventually roll up their sleeves and school your thought with feverish keyboard strokes, but until then just know that these are Chinese military manufacture, not to be confused with Pokemon or a dollar store can opener...

Oh so your saying they are good quality. Got ya. I have never even seen a Chinese sks I have never been interested. What is the price tag on one these days? Same as the Russian sks?

I am certainly no expert, but I thought the non-commercial (military) varieties had the sling mount on the face of the stock versus the bottom?

Nice rig, nonetheless.

Meal is from the Chinese on the corner, and it tastes. And tomorrow steak with Belgian fries.

Anywhere from $250 to $400 lately. That's what happens with no supply.

The Chinese sks gets a bad rep simply because it is from China, and some confuse the commercial versions as being typical of what any Chinese sks is. In reality the Chinese military sks shoots as good as any Russian, and for collectors there are far more interesting variations of Chinese military sks than Russian. And there are a lot of unique Russians if that gives you any idea of the variety of Chinese available.

In the states most of the Chinese sks their, seem to have the blade bayonet.Would be nice to get some of those up here, however would be pricey north of the border.
But I do like the spike myself.

Those are the earlier style. They seem to have more Factory 26 guns as well. The Chinese gums they have gotten recently are all imported from countries other than China, like the middle east and Africa.

There are blade bayonet versions in canada. Most are refurbished or commercial. There are a few really nice ones.

Some years of /26\ are really hard to find in particular. Of the guns from /26\ with a 6 million serial number only 8 documented guns have been found in N America. 7 are in the US.

I really glad mine is a /405\ factory gun. It has a mix of parts from the mid era to the new era. The best of all era's. And pretty rare too.

But, I agree with fence, the Chinese are by far the most interesting SKS's.

I'd love to find one with a cast receiver. The majority have milled receivers, a few have stamped receivers (not just the odd stamped part, the whole receiver). The cast receiver would just be a cool example to have.
