Hey guys. Just thought I'd share my recent purchase. Colt combat commander in .45acp. It's not new. Serial # puts date of manufacture in 1974.
I've been looking for a shooter grade commander length Colt for awhile. I wanted one in really good shape but not a collector piece. This one has seen a few rounds for sure but not a huge amount. Overall very good shape. Little dirty. I need to give it a good cleaning. I got it on the EE for a fair price. Hopefully sights are close. Can't wait to get it to the range. The trigger pull is very nice!! Very slight take up then a nice clean light crisp break. Not sure if it's had trigger work. But I'm very happy with the trigger.
I think my next purchase will be a full length gold cup national match in Royal blue.

Here's some pics

Here's how it came

Just for fun I swapped out the grip panels for my custom punisher ones

It also has another Colt to keep it company

Wow great Colt 1911, you will definitely want to get rid of that ugly wheelgun now. Maybe I could do you a favor and take it off your hands?

My first Colt Combat commander was that exact model. Brushed electroless nickel finish.

Sold it long ago, though. Hey, maybe that's it?! :)

Nice! Got a Blued 70 series Gold cup that I love, but a Commander is on my bucket list. Not that many around nowadays Enjoy!

I love it. I had one just like it in 9mm. For some reason I can't explain I let it go which I'm realizing right now wasn't very smart.
