I bought this pistol back in February but due to work I didn't have a chance to shoot it until yesterday.
So when I first got to the range, I shot 50 rounds through my Colt Gold Cup Trophy .22 and then 50 rounds through my Glock 17, before getting out the new .45. I had only shot one magazine of .45 in my life before, and it was 15 years ago, so I wasn't sure what the recoil would be like. I put one round in the mag, aimed at the target (10 yards), and squeezed the trigger.
BAM!
Actually, I was pretty surprised with the first shot, as I wasn't shooting that well with the .22 or the 9mm earlier. I was very tempted to just put the gun away and never shoot it again, but then I put a few more magazines through it.
Overall, I really like it. The recoil is softer then the Glock 17 and my accuracy is about the same. Too bad it is so expensive to shoot. One thing I do not really like is the sights, there are no dots or anything and in the indoor range against a black-centred target, it is a bit difficult to see where you are aiming.
