Just purchased a Tikka T3 Lite .223. Got my Burris FF II 4.5x-14x-42mm mounted with Leupold rings and bases.

Took her out for a break in today. Trigger seems heavy but I think I can adjust it down. Other than that, 3/4" group at 100yd satisfied me. And I'm not a very good shot off bags.

i was shooting bulk boxes of Remington UMC 50gr JHP, and Winchester 45gr JHP.
I never compared them too much, POI is pretty much the same.
I picked these because I want to find a cheap round for gophers and p-dogs. Once fall comes i'll go to a nicer bullet for coyotes.

What weight would you recomend for the 1:8 Twist?

 Why not? It's as steady as you can get next to a machine rest. If one can't shoot fully supported from a benchrest, then it's time for practice, practice and more practice :) And nice looking outfit by the way :D

1stly........Nice Rifle !
& yes you can adjust it down simply.......pull the action barrel outta the stock......very simple single allen screw on the trigger assembly for adjustment.
Just don't go too low.......I've had a few down to 2-1/2-2/3/4 easily:)

I have a 223 for the same reason, mine is a Sako A1, mine loves 55 gr bullets.

I bought it for coyotes, but it's never been anywhere except the range, the nice thing about it is the stock is virtually indentical to my other Sako's for practise.

Lighter than the Varmint model...catch 22 though, you save the weight for hunting, but you have to slow down your rate of fire so you don't overheat the barrel.

I turned the trigger pull all the way down then took it to the range today. Wow does it every go low. I had to bring it up just for safety. I think its around 1 1/2 now maybe. Got much better consintancy. 3/4" is my standard group if I can keep focused.
