My new Glock 44 came in last week......Finally went to the range with it today. And wow!!!

Shot some Federal Premium, Winchester Wildcat and Mini-Mags. Shot about 150 rounds. One failure to feed. That's it. I think it was an ammunition issue....because the previous round was a little soft. Other than that the pistol ran perfectly. It was quite honestly a pure pleasure to shoot.

Good accuracy. See picture below (shot at 8 yards).

Trigger is like a typical glock trigger.....but I'm a glock fanboy, so you won't hear me complain.

Is it ever light though......wow! No recoil also!

All in all.....very very pleased. With all the videos circulating about some people having problems with ammo and their Glock 44.....just wasn't sure. Now, I am sure glad I bought it.

Thank-you Wolverine Supplies. Love your service.

Stay safe and have a great week....

They really are a fantastic pistol, I had read a few bad reviews on them also at the start when they were first released. I’ve had mine for a couple of years now and it has been a great performer, accurate and dependable, and not fussy on what it’s fed. I’ve used it for speed steel and in a few 2gun events where .22 was allowed and it’s been awesome. Enjoy yours, they are a lot of fun

I have one too and it's so light. Feels like a toy squirt gun. I haven't shot mine yet. I have a brick of Remington thunderbolts from over a decade ago. I wonder if it'll shoot reliably with it?

For years before the G44 was released I ran an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit on a gen3 G19 frame. Everyone who shot that pistol was blown away by how light it was. The G44 makes it feel heavy lol, so you are absolutely right about the toy gun feel.
I see no reason it wouldn’t eat your Thunderbolt ammo. One thing I will recommend is after you load a mag, turn it upside down and quickly pull and release the mag loading buttons on the mag to properly align the ammo. The vast majority of FTF in these pistols are due to the rounds not being aligned in the magazine properly. I do this to every mag and never have feed problems
Also, Pierce Grip Extensions work excellent on these magazines and give you a bit of extra purchase for the pinky finger, love them.

Thanks for the info! I have FTF problems and I think light primer strikes with my P220 Classic 22lr. Hopefully, the G44 will eat thunderbolt bulk ammo. I thought the G48 was light until the G44 arrived.

I have one in the cue from Wolverine also and looking forward to it. Anticipating transfer clearance in the next week or so.

With temps of -30 and no indoor range it may be a few days before i get it out.

I have one with and aftermarket trigger. Fun little gun that eats every kind of bulk ammo I've thrown at it so far (6ish different kinds).
It can be finicky on the first round when you load 10. The first round has to be oriented just right (nose up) for it work reliably. If you load 9 rounds in the mags it just keeps running and running.

My G44 has never had a light primer strike.
It does shoot high with the stock front sight.
I cheaped out and painted it orange and left a small black strip at the tip of the sight.
The strip coincides with the point of impact.
Easy to shoot but I’d rather get a taller front sight that I can shoot to the dot rather then the tip.
Remington thunderbolts lead my barrel badly.
Even 50 rds leave a ton of lead in the barrel.
I have no idea why as the same ammo doesn’t lead my other guns.

Mine is picky with ammo.

I tried using BBM HV which is rebranded/reboxed RWS high velocity and had nothing but a constant string of jams, failed extractions, stovepipes and failure to chamber the next round in the mag. I quit counting at 10 failures but of the 100 rounds I tried I estimate at least 25 failures. Failures were not limited to a specific magazine, nor was it the result of improper magazine loading.

I switched to three other brands of .22 LR and it has run without a single failure or hiccup ever since with hundreds of rounds through it. I have several other brands of ammunition that I intend to try as well when it finally warms up around here.

The ammo brands / types I have used with complete success are:

Federal Champion blue box standard velocity 40gr RN
Aguila Super Extra SV 40gr RN
CCI Mini-mags 40gr RN

I had a certain amount of trouble of several kinds with mine when it was new but then it seemed to settle in. Also, I learned to drop rounds straight down into the magazines with the spring fully repressed, which somehow seemed to solve the failures to feed I had. To be fair, I was also shooting crap ammo, which is at best never helpful.

Got mine in the mail and had it out to the range today. Ran it with Remington bulk 36g 1255 fps plated hollow point ammo from CTC so anticipated a few issues. It did have a few FTF, FTE and stovepipes but got better as the day went on.

Lots of mags went flawlessly even on rapid fire ... until I tried the Winchester Wildcats and man oh man it did not like those. They are a 40 g lead round nose 1280 fps. Ran 2 mags of it and EVERY single round had a problem.

Will update with better review when i have time.

I bought one in August that just cleared on Jan 30 & was then shipped from BC. Registration certificate arrived yesterday so I can finally give it a run.

Went up to the range today and played with a few different types of ammo. Nothing scientific, just standing shooting freestyle at a good pace. I was surprised at how much the G44 liked the Remington Thunderbolt ammo, I usually just shoot CCI Mini Mags but my accuracy was better with both the Remington and the Winchester M-22. 32DA160B-1FC9-49DF-8DC9-B36A8EA0A92D.jpg

Good report. As the clock was ticking down my final purchase choice was between a Model 48 and a 44. Went with the 9. Should have bought both. Maybe Glock will make a conversion kit for the 48 one day.
