my new hunting truck! (kei truck) what do you think 50mpg!

I think I am going to end up with one of those as my principal vehicle when my Jeep Cherokee eventually wears out. I like no frills. Most of my driving is around town all year. When you have to go out on the highway, you just have to allow enough time for the journey at slower speeds. Carry a set of ATV tires on spare rims when you take it hunting.

they will do 100kms but your running the motor at 5500 rpm! but they say that that is ok on the motor ... and i know ppl that drive to work each day 20,min away on the hiway at 110km's and 6500rpm and there still running like new. i dont think so lol ill keep mine at 85km's witch runs 3500-4000 rpm.

I trust Japanese engineers to make 660cc motor rev higher than that for a long time. Next time you see a Japanese sport bike parked, go over and look at the tach. Notice where the redline is.

I have never seen one of those before but they look sweet I prefer max-4 over snow
but I wouldnt paint it Get the camo decal and do it right which ever pattern you choose
and I would go with light truck mudtires just for road driviing

I want one now

I'm looking at a Ranger and although these trucks are pretty cool, I think I will still look at a Ranger.

I've got a Ranger, had it since 1998, bought in new, did all of the service on it, and and a whole bunch of repairs that I never had to do on a toyota or chev.
Nor was it abused.
I would never buy another.

Right hand drive, recent stats show you're over 40% more likely to be involved in an accident on Canada's highways. After watching the way some are being driven around here, I'm surprised it's only 40%

That study was total BS and was based on unscientific stats. They were doing things like comparing accident rates of 300HP imported RHD JDM 1991 Nissan Skylines driven by 20 year olds with 1991 LHD 80 hp Toyota econoboxes driven by people who babied them. the study is being touted by the Canadian Automobile Dealer's Association whoi are out to get Right-hand dirve imports banned or restricted because they can't come anywhere near matching the price /quality ratio of these vehicles.. For good reviews of RHD imports, go to 4x4wire.com - lots of Canadian members.

I have a RHD diesel 1991 4WD Mitsubishi Pajero (Jeep CJ equivalent size wise) that keeps up with ATVs's 90% of the time and it's not even modded yet. Plus it's my main winter ride and gets 30 MPG as long as I cruise aroubnd 90 KPH.

I believe KDX is referring to a Polaris Ranger, not a Ford Ranger...

Cool...... but totally useless where i come from unless your a road hunter. Would be cheap on fuel I guess.

Why would it be useless?

Do you walk from you camp to your stand, or do you use a pickup or atv to get you atleast part way there? How about your boat or canoe, does it get into that little lake out in the bush by magic, or do you haul it there? I've never started any hunting/fishing trip without the power of a gas vehicle. Doesn't matter if I need to get my canoe to a river, my boat to a lake, my ass to a stand, or bush trail either way I use a atv or truck for atleast part of the job.

What he has costs less then most ATVs, is street legal, and should be enough for most jobs. Lets be honest, 90km/h will get us anywhere we need to go. The bed can hold a decent amount, and it can haul a decent amount. You can get them with 4x4, hi/low, front or/and back locking diff.

some new pic's of the truck. and some videos

trucks still runs like new. i am geting 35-40 mpg with the truck.
