My buddy was in Oshawa, saw this for $130 and gave me a call to see if I wanted it, I said sure and a week ago he came over and dropped it off. The barrel is great, shiny, strong rifling, even though its been Bubba'd.

I'm only making this post because I've seen other pics of rifles that look nearly the same to it, and was wondering if its actually some kind of factory sporter:

Since it's already been butchered, I'm gonna go ahead and put a scope on it, maybe a bipod, and I'm thinking of trying to build a custom stock for it since I'm not too big on the grip angle.

The rifle looks to be in good shape. the #4 has always been my favorite enfield. My #4 has been butchered as well. However they did not cut my barrel down so mine can be easily restored and will be soon. You can buy no gunsmithing mount that are a direct bolt on. This way you don't have to drill or tap anything. The 3 most popular are the ATI, S&K and the B-Sqare.

while I wouldn't bubba a milsurp in original condition-there plenty that already have lost their virginity so you may as well make a fine hunting rifle out of it-with no apologies to anyone.Just remember that ''sporterized'' 303 's have probably accounted for more moose, deer and black bear in canada than anything else. There's 303 website www.303british.com that has plans for a simple angle iron side mount that bolts on to the existing holes on the reciever that is sturdier than anything you can buy and costs nothing but some of your time and labour and piece of scrap angle iron
