It took some time but I am very impressed with the gun.

Thanks, I am happy with how this turned out. I knew Les Baer's would shoot well and function well but had always heard the finish may not be as good as some of the other customs (and it may not be) but this turned out nice to my eye.
 
Range report with pictures will be required asap. Still lusting after a Les Baer. Maybe even with the 1.5" guarantee, but I don't think it's needed. Beauty 1911 you have there.
 
I did get the 1.5 inch package. The 10 shoot group at 50 yards was 1.2 inches if I count the two flyer's. 8 shoots where under an inch.

Yes they use a ransom rest. Unfortunately in my hands it is destined never to repeat that type of group. I know it will hit where the gun is pointed just pryor to firing, it just won't be where I hoped I was aiming.

ROFLMAO! i know that feeling!

Nice pistol. I shot a les in 38 super once, by far the nicest 1911 i've ever shot, trigger was incredible and consistent and allowed me to shoot the best groups i've ever made with a 1911.

I'd rather have it in 45 like yours though, i though the super was obnoxious indoors
