My new little gem

Some people will hack on the Fleur-di-lis and schnabel, but personally, I like them... that is a trim little rifle, it should carry very nicely. I have owned many Roberts rifles, I like the cartridge alot, dropped many coyotes and deer with it. My current Roberts is an M77R MKII. Give the 115 NBT a try, best all around bullet I have tried, PM if you need loads.

I actually PM'd him the load that came along with the ultralight..... I haven't felt the need to tweek it at all..... and that's after about 200 rounds.....

I think Winchester does a good job with the fleur de-lys checkering..... Remington really overdoes it IMOP

Oh MAN!!! I am so jealous...lol. A 257 Roberts is on my bucket list of firearms as well and, the same as you, I am very close to buying a Kimber. But I sure would like a Win 70 in that caliber or even a Browning.

However just y-day I managed to collect a nice 7x57 in a Ruger 77 so was able to cross that one off my list.

Good for you on the good luck with the WTB posting. I tried it a long time ago and had one legit response and a bunch of scammers. Fortunately the good people here on CGN and the Admin here are happy to pass along pointers on things to watch out for when posting WTB ads.

Don't rule out The Ruger tang safety, I sold mine in a weak moment when we started losing our Caribou population.

I have the same rifle first gun I ever owned will never sell it been in the gun case since the mid eighty's fun to shoot easy to handle and aim, I may even have it sent to the grave with me! need something in the next life don't we?

I worked that load up for your rifle... I'm not sure if the current load is the same or not? This one has the 22" standard barrel.
